Yotam Ottolenghi: “The Palestinian cuisine is probably my favorite cuisine” The Pakhuis de Zwijger and the Hummus Academy proudly present an evening with chef Sami Tamimi. Tamimi will give a demo of making perfect and ethical Hummus followed by Q&A. The evening is crowned by a special Palestinian dinner inspired by Tamimi.
Sami Tamimi and Yotam Ottolenghi are co-partners of restaurants and co-author chefs of Jerusalem and Ottolenghi: The Cookbook, and Ottolenghi SIMPLE. Sami Tamimi’s latest book ‘Falastin’ (also co-authored with T. Wigley and in bookstores in Dutch), is a love letter to Palestine where Tamimi retraces the lineage and evolution of his country’s cuisine. Tamimi covers the territory between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. The Tamimi & Ottolenghi books are praised by The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal and have sold over a million copies in the Netherlands alone.
